Vajrasattwa

Mahatma Himalaya, known in Tibet as Vajrasattva and more commonly in the West as Master El Morya, or in simplified forms as Moria or Morya, is a legendary yogi, saint, spiritual master, and miracle worker known as the celestial Lord of the Himalayas. He is recognized by mystics through numerous revelations and spontaneous encounters. A Spirit, Angel, and God of the world’s highest mountains—Himalayas, Hindu Kush, Tibet, Altai, Tien Shan, and Pamir. He is mentioned in many legends, myths, and mythologies of Eastern religions, including the Enochian tradition of Judaism. Vajrasattva (Sanskrit: वज्रसत्त्व) is a name frequently referenced in Buddhist schools and in older, pre-Buddhist traditions of Tibet. He is a master who transmits esoteric and secret teachings, tantric in nature, which are referred to today as esotericism in Greek or occultism in Latin.

Master El Morya, also written in India as Maurya or Moraya, is mentioned, for example, in the Śiva-Puranas as Himachala Raja (Himaćala Radźa), the king of the legendary Himalayan kingdom encompassing Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Tibet, and parts of Afghanistan. He is the father of a hundred sons and an equally large number of daughters, the most significant being the Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Śiva, and Ganga Devi—the Goddess of the River and the Milky Way. Himachala Raja is the consort of the celestial nymph Goddess Mena or Menaka, making him the father-in-law of Lord Śiva. The legend of the hundred sons of Mahatma Himalaya (Master H), the King of Devas, recounts that his sons reincarnate as Celestial Warriors to support humanity on its spiritual journey toward perfection, and they are contemporarily associated with the Kingdom of Śambhalah (Shambala).

Morya (Maurya), the king of ascetics, vegetarians, and yogis dwelling in ascetic retreats in the Himalayas or Pamir, is mentioned in the 20th and 21st centuries as the source of spiritual mysteries revealed through figures such as Helena Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Helena Roerich, or Mark Prophet (Lanello). However, the truth is that awakened masters and avatars do not teach through channelling or ordinary mediums. The authentic source of their teachings and inspirations lies in the genuine spiritual knowledge they left behind or recorded during their lifetimes, which benefits successive generations of spiritual disciples.

Master Morya—Himalaya is the principal master of Himalayan forms of yoga, such as Kriya Yoga, Siddha Yoga, or Laya Yoga. Sufi renown in the West, Hazrat Inayat Khan, recounts in his autobiography that during his spiritual pilgrimages and quests, he received the grace of meeting Master Mahatma Himavantu in the Himalayas in a celestial audience lasting several hours, during which he received teachings and the blessing of darśan. Traces of the cult of El Morya (El Mo), also known as Śri Himalaya Rishi, can be found throughout nearly all spirituality and yoga originating from the Himalayan masters of wisdom in the Far East. Often referred to in oriental texts simply as Mahatma, meaning “Great Soul”, or as the Mahatma of the East or the Mahatma of the Roof of the World (Himalayas). The initiatory transmission of teachings and practices is referred to in the East as the Diamond Path, and the Himaćala family is called the Diamond Path.

He is also known as an avatar, for instance, the legendary Master Morya Gosavi (Marathi: मोरया गोसावी, Morayā Gosāvi), whom history in India remembers as appearing in Karnataka between the 13th and 17th centuries. Some believe that these are multiple individuals sharing the same name and a very similar appearance, while others claim it is the same Master who came to Karnataka from the Himalayas and taught the people of southern India as a Mahatma before finally returning to the inaccessible regions of Himachala, his eternal snowy abode on the Roof of the World. Heavenly Father El Morya (Эль Мория) accompanies us in our minds, feelings, and emotions. We can always turn to him by creating a connecting thread of Light when overcome by bad moods, thoughts, or even depression. He helps restore good spirits, faith, and strength to follow the path of Light, Love, and Power. In the Clock of Masters, he represents the Wisdom of Divine Will and Power.

Master Morya, Master H, as the incarnated king Chandragupta Maurya (Maurya, Mourya) in the 14th century BCE, organized his vast kingdom based on self-governance not only in provinces and cities but also in villages, which became small village republics governed by elected Councils of Five (“Pañćayat”). These systems lasted nearly two millennia and laid the foundation for the strength and culture of India! Later, he incarnated again under the same name in the 4th century BCE to renew the kingdom. EL, however, is the name of God from Phoenician, Semitic, Ugaritic, and Akkadian cultures, the name of God from which later forms like Eloa, Elim, or Elohim, as well as Allah, are derived. El, mentioned 2,600 times in the Bible, is the fundamental Name of God, bearing various epithets such as El Shaddai (The Almighty) or El Elyon (The Most High). The name El Morya, also written as El Moriyah or El Morya/h, means the God of Mount Moriah, the God of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, and the God of the surrounding area in the pre-Mosaic culture, which flourished there and continues to thrive to this day.

Elohim (in Hebrew אלהים) is one of the principal names of God in the Bible, alongside Yahveh (YHVH) – “He Is”, “He Exists”, or “The Existing One”; El (God); Adonai (Lord); and Shaddai (The Almighty). Elohim is the plural form of the Hebrew word El (God) and its extension Eloah, which appears to be a specific designation of the God of Israel. The word El originates from the supreme deity in Ugaritic and broadly Phoenician mythology, where El is the oldest God of the pantheon and the creator of humanity. Although the word Elohim is often used to refer to pagan gods in the form of “gods”, it does not imply polytheism in the context of the God of Judaism. Among the Israelites, there was no concept of pluralis majestaticus, as seen in phrases like “You, comrade” or “Your Majesty.” By using the plural form to refer to God, the Israelites emphasized the infinite attributes of the One God or spoke in a dual number, addressing both the Deity (YHVH, Yahuvah, Yahvah) and the Goddess (Shekinah).

In ancient Hebrew, the form Elohim could signify God as a Divine Parental Pair, meaning Elohim as He (YHVH, Fire) and She (Shekinah, Light). According to some Christian theologians, it was an early sign of the Trinity (Holy Trinity). The Documentary Hypothesis identifies sections of the Pentateuch where this form of God’s name is used as belonging to the Elohist tradition, as opposed to the Yahvist tradition, which uses the name Yahveh (YHVH). The name Moria (Morya) was popularized in the West by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and the Theosophical school. In her literary works, Blavatsky sometimes used her native Russian language, employing the pseudonym and spiritual name of the Himalayan Brotherhood of Masters of Wisdom, Radda-Bai (Radha-Badź); however, most of her writing was in English. Her most famous publication, “Isis Unveiled”, earned her the moniker of the modern priestess of Isis (Venus), associated with the Indian goddess Durga. This monumental work, presenting the system of divine theosophy of the Himalayan Masters, was reportedly dictated to her spiritually and telepathically within a few months by the greatest Sage (Rishi) in the world, Mahatma El Moria (El-Morya, Morya), residing in the virgin forests of Tibet in the Himalayas. This means that Master El Morya must have temporarily created a manifestation body, Mayavirupa, characteristic of Avatars, to teach on the earthly plane of existence.

While Helena Blavatsky was writing this book about the Goddess Isis, she was only a few hundred miles away from Mahatma of the Himalayas, Master Morya, and her soul was entirely inspired. According to visions, Master El-Moria (El-Morya) was described as “a strong brunet of stunning beauty with deep, piercing black eyes.” In 1882, when Helena Petrovna Blavatsky—known as Śri Radda-Bai—fell gravely ill in Darjeeling, northern India, this charming sage magically carried her to his Himalayan abode in a manner unknown to her. There, through several magnetic passes, he restored her health, even though she was near death due to an unknown tropical illness. The doctrine of metempsychosis, or reincarnation in India, as Letourneau notes, practically satisfies the requirements of Justice. It teaches that the personal existence of every human (Jivatman) consists of a long series of successive incarnations, higher or lower, depending on whether a person ascended through merit or fell through sin in their previous existences.

The concept of soul reincarnation into successive bodies removes all forms of injustice, both random and societal: everyone receives exactly what they deserve. However, since bad actions far outnumber good ones, this belief instils in devotees a deep sense of weariness and discouragement with life. People grow tired of life and therefore yearn for liberation, or nirvana, to merge into the divine ocean of all existence through the systematic sanctification of body, mind, and heart by following the Path under the vigilant guidance of a Guru—the Divine Messenger, Master of Souls, and Guide of Humanity. Of course, on the one hand, people burn past karman through their experiences and tribulations, but on the other, their actions, words, and thoughts create new karma, which will affect them in the future when the seeds ripen, and the time of harvest comes. A butcher, by killing animals for consumption, creates karma in which he will be reborn and killed as many times as he has killed animals in the slaughterhouse. Karma is tied to the individual soul (Atma-Purusha) and follows the soul through successive lives, even though the individual may not remember their previous incarnations. The law of karma becomes apparent from a broader temporal perspective and at the soul’s level, rather than its material, transient forms or embodiments.

El, or Brahman

The name El (God) appears 2,600 times in the Bible! The highest deities of the Canaanite, Ugaritic, and Phoenician pantheons significantly influence the subject of Morya’s message, as they continually shaped the religious concepts in Israel and its surroundings. Primarily, this refers to the God named El, “The Mighty One,” who is the head of the Canaanite pantheon, supreme in all matters human and divine. He is the “Creator of all creatures” (Hebrew: bny bnwt), the dignified father and king of gods and men. In nearly all Semitic languages, the word “El” means “God.” In Canaanite culture, as in other Semitic cultures, it became a generic name (nomen genericum) for the supreme, living God, the creator of the world and the ultimate explanation of the incomprehensible universe.

In Ugaritic epics, El sits majestically in a cosmic paradise “at the confluence of two rivers,” where underground and earthly waters converge and mingle, and where no evil forces can reach him. He is the Divine Bull, mighty in his strength. Yet, like Yahweh, Yahvah, or Jehovah, El is also a God who is almighty, wise, benevolent, merciful, and compassionate. He is the supreme judge, advocate of justice, mercy, hospitality, and propriety—qualities that humans should strive to embody. For this reason, Canaanite kings, as representatives of Divine Will on Earth, were obliged to show justice and mercy to the disadvantaged and defenceless. Furthermore, kings performed prescribed rituals mainly to obtain forgiveness, clemency, and atonement for the sins and transgressions committed by people. One of the most significant inheritances of Israel from the Canaanites was the religious and moral concept of the king’s function. The demand for moral righteousness from people stemmed from attributing this quality to the God El.

Among the Canaanites, however, this monotheistic attribute of El became obscured due to the existence of local cults. Even after a long time, the authors of the Bible remembered that he was worshiped in Hebron and its surroundings (at Mamre) as El Shaddai (“Lord of the plains, fields, and steppes”; a very poetic term, possibly of Akkadian origin). He was also venerated in Bethel (“House of God”) under the name El Bethel (likely also of Akkadian origin), in Beersheba as El Olam (“The Eternal”), in Kadesh-Barnea as El Roi (“El sees me”), and in Jerusalem as El Elyon (“The Most High”). While El Elyon, in a universal sense, could be considered “The Creator” or “The Creator and Maker of heaven and earth,” some scholars speculate that in popular polytheistic beliefs, there was a tendency to view regional cults as rites for local deities that may have existed in the past, rather than as the one omnipotent God in his many manifestations. However, the study of Phoenician texts suggests that references to “El” often indicate the locality or region where the tradition of the supreme God’s worship was observed. In truth, without distorting the image of God, EL-MORIA is undoubtedly the God El worshiped for thousands of years throughout the Phoenician and Semitic cultural areas, in the Old Testament (the Bible), and, most importantly, as the Heavenly Father of Christians. There can be no doubt about this.

Vajrasattva – Diamond Goodness

VAJRASATTVA (Vajrasattva Marga) means Good Will, Divine Will, or Diamond Goodness and is the Path of developing the fiery and radiant Power of Divine Will and Strength. Vajralaya, as this Eternal Path is also called, is a four-stage path of Laya Yoga established by the Spiritual Ruler of the Ray of Divine Will and Power for souls ascending to his celestial temple, known in Eastern esotericism as Paksala. Paksala serves as a station or a stage of the journey for souls traveling the Path (Marga) toward Shambhala (Agartha). All those initiated into the Diamond Path form a spiritual community called the Vajrasattva Sangha, or the Community of Good Will.

There are four great Circles or levels of esoteric initiation within this community, described by four key guiding ideas on which students of this Path work: Prema (Love, Agape), Satya (Truth), Dharma (Duty, Task of the Soul), and Śāntih (Peace, Pacification). A soul that learns to Love moves toward Truth, and upon comprehending Truth, it receives a Task from the Divine Hierarchy of Communion with the Saints to accomplish on Earth. Upon fulfilling this Task, the soul becomes a Guardian of the Planet, a Śāntideva, an Angel of Peace.

The first yoga for the first degree of initiation is also called Abhava Yoga, meaning the stage of Bliss and Emptiness. The second yoga is known as Chohan Morya Guru Yoga, which serves to establish an inner connection with the Spiritual Head of the Aśram of Power and the Will of God, Lord Morya. The third level is the Great Yoga, or Mahā Yoga of Chohan Morya, which is the path of Submission to the Divine Will. The final stage is the Yoga of Fire and Light, known as AGNI YOGA, which is the path of the Planet’s Guardians against the attacks of cosmic forces of evil. The Vajrasattva Sangha is the second branch of the Himalaya Tirtha Sangham, or the Himalayan White Brotherhood of the Indian Parvata Tirtha order.
