Kundalini, The Mother of the Universe
The Mystery of Piercing the Six Chakras (by Rishi Singh Gherwal, 1930). This little self-published work could be most charitably described as an anthology of material on Kundalini Yoga. Very little of this book was actually written by Gherwal; the majority of the material here consists of long quotes from other authors, notably Arthur Avalon. On page VII, Gherwal states that the book was published in just three weeks, and it shows in the number of errata and glitches. |

Laya Yoga is an ancient form of meditation, with concentration on
energy centers or chakras (Cakras). Sage Gorakshnatha, an ancient sage
of Nepal, and a disciple of Matsyendranath is the modern founder of
Laya yoga tantrika. There are five main energy centers in the spine and
two in the head. Laya yoga attempts to locate these energy centers and
channelize them through meditation. Laya essentially means to dissolve
all karmic patterns or conditioning and merge into the transcendental

Laya Yoga, Tantra & Chakras
"My dear fellow Children of Light, be aware that a person's sufferings
touch him or her mostly through his or her imaginative faculty. A
person who imagines things that are untrue will certainly suffer. S/he
will think that other people hate him/her when don't; s/he may, due to
low self-esteem, deny his/her competence, and imagine that his/her life
is subject to the whims of those around him or her. When a person's
delusions are deeply entrenched, it is difficult for him to root them
out. They are so much a part of his reality, that he doesn't question
them. S/he just allows them to poison his life, never realizing that
his or her suffering is due to a handful of delusions..." |

LAYA KRIYA – the archetype of Rebirthing, Holotropy, and Regressing
Laya Kriya is a technique relying on attaining the state of Pratyahara –
an overview of life and events, which allows reaching hidden levels of
the subconscious, also referred to as the lower self (anava). In the
initial phase, it relies on deep relaxation and energizing the body
through conscious, circular breathing known in yoga as Śvasa-Praśvasa.
Then, by working with mind, it facilitates reaching to direct causes of
problems originating from the past. Laya Kriya is introduced in the
classical Yoga by Ryszi Patańdźali in an instruction verse from chapter
I.31 which covers a breath joining breathing in and out in one smooth
cycle, as well as three kinds of cleansing side effects which may occur
due to heavy kinds of karma, confounding, and addictions of human
beings. |
